The workshop will cover a range of topics including career opportunities within the JD business, CV writing skills, interview tips and tricks, and strategies for showcasing your skill-set during the recruitment process, especially if you have little to no working experience.

Following these workshops, students will have an opportunity to apply for retail employment in stores hiring for Penrith, Blacktown, Mt Druitt, Parramatta and Wetherill Park. This will include attending a group interview early October.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT! Year 7 student, Talen Lachmund-Davis has recently travelled to the United Staes to represent Australia at the 2024 Little League World Series. This event is considered one of the best sporting events on the planet for any baseball fan with the tournament being broadcast live on ESPN and watched by over 3 million people. During the competition Talen and the Australian team got to play against the likes of Japan, Latin-America, Canada and the Caribbean. St Clare’s celebrates 30 years of learning, faith and community
St Clare’s Catholic High School Hassall Grove has celebrated a significant milestone, marking its 30th anniversary with a moving Mass and ceremony. Distinguished guests, including Most Reverend Bishop Vincent Long, Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese Executive Director Jack de Groot, and NSW Member for Mount Druitt Edmond Atalla, joined clergy, staff, and students in honouring the school’s legacy.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Maria Ioane Alefosio The 2024 Rotary Youth Vocational Education Awards were held this week and a big congratulations goes to Maria Ioane Alefosio in Year 12 who received this award for St Clare’s Catholic High School for 2024. The Rotary Youth Vocational Educational Awards celebrates excellence in vocational education and recognises the outstanding achievements of young people in school communities across Western Sydney. STUDENT SPOTLIGHT! This year, Year 11 student- Kathreen- was named captain of the North Sydney Bears Lisa Fiaola Cup squad for this year. She was also named Most Valuable Player for 2024. on top of this, Kathreen was on the CCC team for Rugby League of which the team came thirs in the comp! INDIGENOUS VETERANS SERVICE On Friday, 31st of May, 15 of our Indigenous students attended the Indigenous Veterans Service at Hyde Park by the Reflection Pool. This was an important day for our Indigenous students and families as it was an opportunity to honour and remember the service and sacrifice of Indigenous Veterans during Reconciliation Week. WINTER SLEEP OUT! Last term, thirty students from years 7 to 12 participated in the annual St. Vincent de Paul Winter Sleep Out. They braved the cold in the town square overnight to stand in solidarity with those experiencing homelessness. The students also engaged in various activities that educated them about the fact that not every homeless person is unemployed. Experiences like these allow our students at St. Clare's to build empathy and gain a greater understanding of social issues. #stclaresrepresent #praisegodbyyourlife
